Life in Camelot

crossknight at sunsetLong before the tranquility of the infamous Camelot, the land of Briton was heavily at war. The new, innocent King Arthur, depending on Merlin and Excalibur to carry him through, had to fight 12 battles before peace fell over the land. Bloodshed filled the land for many years, as the conflicts wouldn't cease.

After defeating the numberous British and Saxton King's, prosperity and wealth spread throughout Camelot for twelve more years. During this time, the King desired new adventures and victories abroad. He started the building of his palace, a suitable palce for him and his Knights of the Round Table to engage in liveliness, entertainment, and pursuit. This was the starting point for the Love of Gwinevere, Lancelot's Betrayal, Quest for the Holy Grail, and countless other scandals of the Arthurian Kingdom.

Arthur Meets Gwenevere

Daughter of King Laodegan of Carmalide, Wife of Arthur, Mistress to Lancelot. After long battle of Carmalide and Ireland, King Arthur and his knights were sent to bath by the ladies of the court. Later they were conducted to marvelous entertainment, at which they were still served by the same servants. Arthur's servant was Princess Gwenevere.

King Laodegan, excited to meet the heroes of Camelot, and in hope of Arthur's temptation to Gwenevere, presented his daughter to the King. Meanwhile, neglecting Merlin's prediction of her latter infidelity and outcome of , the two were united as one. A magnificant feast was ordered that adjourned in seven days. At the end of that time, the enemy of Laodegan arrived again, reinstating battle, forcing the new Queen to relinquish her King.

Alfred, Lord Tennyson

"Leodogran, The King Of Cameliard,
Had one fair daughter, and none other child,
And she was fairest of all flesh on earth,
Gwenevere, and in her his one delight."

"For all men, like his birth;
and could he find
A woman in her womanhood as great
As he was in his manhood, the he sang,
The twain together well might change the world."

During this time, five young heroes, aside an army of plenty, were on their way to Camelot, in pursuit of becoming knights. These men were nephews of Arthur, sons of King Lot, former enemy of Arthur. They were Gawain, and his three brothers, and Galachin, nephew, son of King Nanters. Gawain the leader, led the legion for three days to London, straight into enemy lands. Short battle befell the convoy, until the Londoners came to their rescue. The enemy fled in every direction, and Gawain and army, entered London gratefully.

The Battle of Mount Badon, the last and historic battle Arthur had to face for several years. It, however, was the climax of King Arthur's reign as King of Britian. Empowering him from all aspects, he returned home, to reconstruct his empire. The Once and Future King, had established a grand kingdom, known as Camelot for all (then and now) to love.

It is told that the king and queen had several legitimate sons and daughters, and Arthur to have several illegitimate children by Morgan Le Fay, Morguase, and many others.
